The ELCINA-Dun & Bradstreet Awards for Excellence in Electronics Hardware Manufacturing & Services for 2007-08 were presented on September 10, 2008 in New Delhi.

The Awards were conferred during an annual presentation function held at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The winners were honoured by the Chief Guest, Dr. V. Krishnamurthy, Chairman, National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC), and the Guest of Honour, Shri Ajay Shankar, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry. The awards consist of a trophy and a citation.

The awards ceremony was attended by senior government officials, Members of ELCINA, representatives of D&B and captains of industry in large numbers.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. A G Rohira, President, ELCINA said, “The ELCINA Awards have stood the test of time and have recognised excellence in electronics since last 32 years. They are recognized for their systematic approach and transparent process and have been supported by officials of Department of Information Technology and industry stalwarts with their expertise, enabling their elevation to their present stature. The partnership with D&B is a significant step towards strengthening this platform so that these Awards serve as a benchmark for the industry.”
