2008 World Electronics Forum starts at New Delhi PDF Print E-mail

The 13th WEF meeting held in Tel-Aviv in November 2007 accepted the offer from India, and decided that the 14th World Electronics Forum meeting will take place in New Delhi during 1-5 December 2008.

The WEF – World Electronics Forum, is a voluntary gathering of CEO's and top officials of Electronics Industries Associations worldwide to meet and discuss major topics of common interests to the various associations, exchange information on services & data and strengthen relations between associations, for the benefit and services of our industries.

The 14th WEF to be held in New Delhi will start with a Welcome Dinner on the 1st December 2008 for the delegates on their arrival at the hotel where most of the delegates with spouses shall be staying. The program shall conclude with a farewell dinner on 4th December and Factory visits on the 5th December 2008.

The program of the meeting will consist of following main parts:
1. Major Topics – Presentations and discussions on major topics of current interest for the electronics industry.
2. Presentations by interested associations about the industry in their country, including presentations and visits to High-Tech industry.
3. Discussion regarding issues relating to WEF Secretariat and its functioning.

The WEF meet is hosted by CEHA (Council of Electronic Hardware Associations) which is a voluntary body formed by the top five all India Electronic Hardware Associations CEAMA, ELCINA, ISA, MAIT and ISA. The Governorship of CEHA rotates between the five constituents. At present TEMA is the Convening body for CEHA with Mr. NK Goyal , its Chairman Emeritus being the Convener for CEHA.
